Although choosing Raw as the title of a series is a bit messy, as there are so many porn movies with this title in the adult industry, this new series from Digital Playground is like no other release bearing a similar name. While other movies with the same title focus on no-condom sex or even on non-directed scenes, Raw is a zombie porn series in four parts directed by Ricky Greenwood, featuring big stars such as AVN performer of the year Anna Claire Clouds, extra juicy PAWG Roxie Sinner, or badass, busty alt-chic Chantal Danielle. And then you have legendary male performers Victor Ray, Seth Gamble, and Isiah Maxwell.

 

The Plotline And The Sex Action

Director Ricky Greenwood is a known cinephile and a cinematography nerd. When he hops on a project, he turns porn into cinematic art. He did the same with Deadly Vows, in which he reinterpreted the blockbuster genre into a series full of fight scenes and special effects. And now he did the same for the zombie movie genre. This is in no way a Walking Dead parody. It’s a standalone story, but it does have the elements of the classic zombie movie.

The plotline follows the adventures of Hannah (Anna Claire Clouds) a regular suburban girly who was enjoying some good interracial sex with her boyfriend Ben (Isiah Maxwell) when her whole world turned upside down as she realized that her lover got infected by the virus that took over the world and turned everyone into zombies.

Even though the dangers of zombies lurk around every corner, the plotline deepens into the world of survivors. Hannah finds company and safety with Maria and Jackson, a badass couple who take her under their wing and also share her in a steamy FFM threesome in the second episode of the series. But then, our heroine gets involved with a doomsday prepper (Seth Gamnle) who gathered a cult-like following with the other survivors that he found along the way.

The thrills of zombie fight scenes and devious schemes among survivors are smoothly braided with some sex scenes that are just as thrilling and dangerous as the non-sex action. Besides plotline and sex performances, this series also comes with some incredible makeup and SFX efforts. The zombie performances in this series can seriously compete with those from mainstream projects such as The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, or Resident Evil. This stands as proof of how far the adult industry has come.

Final Thoughts on Raw

Although the uninspired title of the series will make it hard to find for many of its potential fans, other than that, everything is on point with this series. I especially like that the survivors still wear that dirty-like makeup and outfits even when they bang, which helps the viewer stay within the zombie apocalypse plotline, even though they take a break from it to enjoy some good sex action.
